Comparing heuristic evaluation and cognitive walkthrough

Iain Connell & Tom Hammond (2000)

Proceedings of the BCS HCI Conference, 401-415.

Abstract. Empirical comparison of heuristic evaluation and cognitive walkthrough on the same interface. Finds the two methods surface partially overlapping but not identical problem sets — supporting the practice of running both in sequence rather than treating them as substitutes. Influential in the field's move toward multi-method discount usability.
