Abstract. Accot and Zhai's foundational Steering Law — extending Fitts's Law from discrete pointing to continuous trajectory tasks (drag, menu-steer). T = a + b × A/W rather than the log-form ID, with direct UI applications for cascading menus, scrollbar dragging, and stylus path-tracing.
