Abstract. Argues that designing for the "machine teacher" — a non-expert who shapes an ML model's behaviour through examples — is a distinct UX discipline. Identifies design patterns for sample selection, feedback timing, and avoiding negative-knowledge cascades. Relevant for the no-code ML and fine-tuning interfaces now common.
